A Car Wash Benefit Was Held Tuesday, June 8, 2010
Benefiting Fallen Phoenix Police Officer Travis Murphy
What:
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Memorial Fund and Danny’s Family Car Wash at Tatum & Cactus held a charity car wash to benefit the family of fallen Phoenix Police Officer Travis Murphy. Officer Murphy was shot and killed in the line of duty on May 26, 2010. He leaves behind a wife, a two year old daughter and two week old baby boy.
Free basic washes were given from 7:30 am – 2:00 pm for a donation.
100% of all car wash proceeds directly benefited the Murphy family.
In addition, a memorial fund has been established at WELLS FARGO BANK under the name of Officer Travis Murphy.
